The test body is used in these aspects : a) for quality comparison of different magnetic powders b) for quality assurance of magnetic powders while working with the testing bench and c) to assure the same dose of magnetic powder in automatic testing apparatures.

The test body a simple testing device for the determination of the direction of the magnetic field. The test body consists of a soft-iron cylinder. It is divided up into four 90º- segments by inlayed, non-magnetizable foils. These foils simulate a cross slot that allows a direction evidence of the magnetic fields because of magnetic resistance corresponding to air.
